Christmas for children from Ukraine – this project was organized by the NGO “Ukrainian European Perspective”for the third time for the children of Ukrainian Heroes, killed on the frontline.
Children come to the festive capital of the Czech Republic to rest and to discover Czech Republic. These charitable holidays are made possible with the help of the city hall of Prague 4 district, kindergarten “4 Pastelky”, NGO “Help for the children of Heroes” in Ukraine, company “Regabus”, NGO “Prague Maidan” and many volunteers and benefactors. Petr Štěpánek, the head of the Prague 4 district, has become the patron of the project.
Fifteen children from all over Ukraine, aged 7-14, and three accompanying counsellors will get the chance to see the magical Christmas in Prague from 24 till 29 of December, to get to know Christmas traditions and Czech traditions, to visit Prague zoo, National gallery, Museum of chocolate, Kingdom of the railways, National technical museum, House of toys Hamley’s etc..
Christmas is the time for children’s dreams and hope, and everyone can make it real – buy giving a child, let’s say, a Christmas present, or by offering help as a volunteer or with a discount to the project managers. Also, you could help by sending financial contribution to the UEP bank account – for transportation expenses, excursions, food and presents.
“Our project is aimed not only at the psychological rehabilitation of children, who have suffered from the armed conflict, but also at encouraging enthusiasm about bringing Ukraine closer to EU with the example of the well-functioning European city” – says the project coordinator Galina Andrejciv.
